❌ UPDATE :- The Reception Group has already moved now to the different venue of the Salvation Army Hall ❌ Note no longer at the Gardner Memorial session room.

The reception group is a place where people can speak openly about whatever they’re facing – whether that’s addiction, mental health struggles, or simply feeling overwhelmed. It isn’t a recovery group, but a friendly space for support, listening and encouragement. If you feel you might need further help, we can gently signpost you to the right places. There is no judgement her. Everyone is welcome.

Those who lead the reception have also been through difficult times in their own lives, so we understand, and we can relate to one another with honesty and compassion.

Hi! Thanks for sharing this it is much appreciated. I am a volunteer with the reception and I would like to clarify that the reception is a space for recovery and hope! ❤️ As well as a space to chat and eat biscuits! 🍪 ☕️ thanks again for sharing. The reception.

Take a moment to pause, light a candle, and reflect on your week. Whether you stay for a few minutes or the full two hours, this is a space to find peace, connection, and support.
Our team will be there if you’d like to chat, share a cuppa, or simply enjoy the quiet company of others.
In times of challenge, sadness, or joy, we are here to walk beside you. Everyone is welcome.
If you are experiencing bereavement or loss and need a quiet space for reflection and support, you are warmly invited to Thursday Night Light. Life can be incredibly hard at times — please know you don’t have to face it alone.
The Pastoral Care Team warmly invites you to join us at Gardner Memorial Church every Thursday evening from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
You will be truly welcome. If you’re feeling lonely or isolated, Thursday Night Light is a space where you can simply be — with others, without pressure or expectation. You are not alone, and you will be warmly welcomed just as you are
