Brechin & Farnell Parish Church

A massive thank you to Baddeley Aggregates and for the outstanding work they have done on our Garden 😍😍🙏 such a positive change for us and with improving the slabs making it even more accessible 🤩 Although the old garden has gone we will never forget those who put in the first time and the incredible fountain we had before.

With this new garden we can host so many events and allow children and adults who think they are kids Scott Valentine Janice Low Kathy Calderwood to name a few 😜😜

Big thank you again for your hard work ❤️

Next time you come to church have a look at our new garden 🙏

💛Please share - Special invite to all carers to join us if you can this Sunday💛

On Sunday 13 September, both Farnell Church and Gardner Memorial Church in Brechin will be holding a reflective Prayer Day and service of thanksgiving for carers and for all who are being cared for.

It’s simply a moment to pause, to acknowledge the incredible work done in caring roles, and to hold in mind those who rely on that care every day. Whether you’re a carer, part of the management team, or someone who works in any caring capacity, you are warmly invited to join us (if you’re not on shift, of course). We would be delighted to welcome you.

Service times:
• 09:30 am – Farnell Church
• 11:00 am – Gardner Memorial Church, Brechin.

After each service, we’d love you to stay for a cuppy and a chat. Please feel free to share this message with your staff teams so everyone knows they are welcome 💛

This week marks 𝟮𝟱 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟵/𝟭𝟭 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀, a day that changed the lives of thousands and left a deep mark on communities across the world. Nearly 3,000 people were killed, and many more continue to carry grief, trauma, and memories that shape their lives even now. As we remember this anniversary, we honour those who died, those who survived, and the first responders whose courage saved many. We also hold in prayer all who still long for healing, and we recommit ourselves to the work of peace in our own time.

God of mercy, On this anniversary, gather in Your care all who mourn, all who remember, and all who seek a more peaceful world. Heal what is wounded, calm what is fearful, and guide us in the way of compassion and hope. Make us bearers of Your peace. Amen.
